GFL Double Water Still 2102 Fully automatic water still for double distillation, suitable for both bench and wall mounting. High-quality distillate is used in research and development e. g. for preparing bacteriological and medical samples, for cell and tissue cultures, for the production of reagents and unguents, for cleaning and sterilisation processes, for buffered solutions as well as microbiological and analytical applications. Capacity: 2 litres per hour. Distillate quality: Conductivity single distillate approx. 2.2 µ-Siemens/cm at 25°C **. Conductivity double distillate approx. 1.6 µ-Siemens/cm at 25°C. Corresponds to international pharmacopoeia requirements, pyrogen and germ-free, low gas. Cooling water required: approx. 72 l / h. Economical energy consumption by distillation of the heated cooling water. Water saving through automatic water cut-off. Unnecessary water consumption will be avoided. Control: Fully automatic. Distillate with-drawal single distillate: stop valve made of borosilicate glass with Teflon plunger; double distillate: outlet with dust guard shield made of borosilicate glass. Evaporators with baffle to hold back drops of water carried along with the steam is easily accessible for cleaning purposes. Main switch and pilot lamps to monitor both distillation stages at the front of the unit. Safety: electronic level control during the whole distilling process. An electronic impurity detector switches the unit off in case of high degree impurities of the water in the 1st stage evaporator; the red pilot lamp ''Clean'' will glow. Double-action low water cut-off through float switch and thermostatic safety switch. CO2 degassing through outlet in the condenser. Material: Heating elements and evaporator made of stainless steel. Condenser (cooler): 1st stage made of stainless steel; 2nd stage including the baffle made of borosilicate glass. Housing: Double-walled housing. Outer housing made of electrolytically galvanised sheet steel, electrostatically powder-coated with epoxy resin. The upper part can be removed by releasing the quick-release catches. Water connection: Cooling water inlet through built-in solenoid valve and hose connection for pressure hose 1/2'' (inner Ø approx. 12.7 mm). Cooling water outlet (separate outlets for each stage) with hose connection 3/4'' (inner Ø approx. 19.0 mm). Hoses for water in- and outlet are available as accessory. Mains connection: cable with shock-proof plug Required cooling water pressure: > 3 to max. 7 bar  The Water Still is maintenance-free and has the CE and EAC mark. * Other voltages and frequencies available on request ** Value averaged by Institut Fresenius for operation with tap water. The distillate quality depends on the quality of raw water.
